weekly events

Fenton Thursdays

Most of the committee, and hopefully you guys, will be having a few drinks in the Fenton every Thursday (as it's £1.50 drinks night), just to meet up and probably eat crisps. Nuts also available.

5-a-side Football

Phil will be organising this, weekyl in the park, Thursdays 5pm.

Rugby

we're hoping to get a rugby team together, to play the staff, and whoever else is up for the challenge! Practices in the park.

other events

Alton Towers

Date to be confirmed, probably in March, one coach to go for a day at 'The UK's best loved theme park', as their website boasts. We'll let you know when tickets go on sale.

Pool Tournament

Exactly what the title implies......

Trip to Pontefract Observatory

An astrophysics lecture, followed by drinks at the adjoining pub/social club thingy. It was fun last time........

Christmas Quiz (27th November)

Same as usual, free food, free drink. Drunk lecturers! And the most important bit, the quiz!

Staff-Student Football Match

Quite obvious, a match between the staff and students of the Physics department. If you're interested, email sports@luuphysoc.co.uk, or sign up on the notice board, and show up at training sessions!!! In November!!!

More to be added, these are just the ones we have already decided will be this semester.
