Then enter our Competition to design the Physoc hoodie and see your design in print, picking up a free hoodie for yourself in the process. Tuesday 21st October 2008 - Social and Club Night
We'll be having a social on Tuesday 21st, most likely starting in Terrace and then off to a club night - keep checking back for details, any ideas let Charlie know at events@luuphysoc.co.uk

First rugby practice, meeting in Hyde Park 11am near the goalposts. Anyone who didn't get the email about it and is interested, email sports@luuphysoc.co.uk and we'll add you to the list and keep you informed....
fresher's week!
Monday 22nd September 2008 - Membership/Sports Sign Up
We'll introduce ourselves at your intro meetings in the department, after which you can sign up for Physoc, and for sports you might fancy playing, followed by a kick about in the park.....
Tuesday 23rd September 2008 - Welcome Party
Physoc will be hosting a party upstairs in the Packhorse (next to uni, not in town) from 7.30pm, with music, nibbles and banter, to be followed by an adventure into town.....free to all members, so come along with your newly acquired Physoc membership cards and drinks money!
Friday 26th September 2008 - Otley Run
A trip along the Otley Road dressed as geeky individuals for the popular Leeds pub crawl is the final event of Fresher's week for Physoc. Meeting at Woody's Pub at (insert time here), or outside Parkinson Steps at (time) for those who have yet to discover Far Headingley, costume is preferable, no climbing allowed.

Fenton Thursdays
Most of the committee, and hopefully you guys, will be having a few drinks in the Fenton every Thursday (as it's £1.50 drinks night), just to meet up and probably eat crisps. Nuts also available.
5-a-side Football
Phil will be organising this, weekyl in the park, Thursdays 5pm.
Rugby
we're hoping to get a rugby team together, to play the staff, and whoever else is up for the challenge! Practices in the park.

Alton Towers
Date to be confirmed, probably in March, one coach to go for a day at 'The UK's best loved theme park', as their website boasts. We'll let you know when tickets go on sale.
Pool Tournament
Exactly what the title implies......
Trip to Pontefract Observatory
An astrophysics lecture, followed by drinks at the adjoining pub/social club thingy. It was fun last time........
Christmas Quiz (27th November)
Same as usual, free food, free drink. Drunk lecturers! And the most important bit, the quiz!
Staff-Student Football Match
Quite obvious, a match between the staff and students of the Physics department. If you're interested, email sports@luuphysoc.co.uk, or sign up on the notice board, and show up at training sessions!!! In November!!!
