what's physoc?
In short, we're an organisation within Leeds University Union run by Physics Students for Physics Students.
Having said that we do have a quite a few members who study other subjects and we'd welcome any others who'd like to join us.
what we do
Our main activities can be divided into two main categories:
Social
We try to run a large range of social events catering for as many tastes as possible. They range from otley runs through nights out to coffee shop otley runs, bowling trips and football tournaments. One of the big highlights of the year is the christmas quiz where the staff and students get together and battle it out for first place, get quite merry on free alcohol and just generally have a good time.
Academic
We make every effort to support you through your time at uni and part of your time here will be spent studying, so to get the most out of this we put events on which help put some of the work into context and help you read around topics.
